Movie makers are like Slender-Man. They take the book that they're based off of, eviscerate it, wrap the plot points in plastic, and then rearrange them to their liking. That's how I felt watching the Hobbit. It was a good movie, of course. It was just the eviscerated version of the book. Which is bound to piss me off no matter what.
